Loader/Operator

Niewohner Entities is all about caring for animals and the land. This has been a family tradition that has been handed down from generation to generation. We value collaboration throughout industries, by operating in multiple areas and continue to grow. Starting off as a farm and cattle operation near Albion, Nebraska, Niewohner Entities has grown to 3 cattle feedlots, as well as farrow to finish swine confinement. Other divisions include The Batch Box, SiDump’r, Feeding System, Beaver Bearing, and Upper Iowa Beef.

General Purpose

JSMM Farms (Niewohner Entities) is seeking a Loader Operator to performs specific feed loading requirements that are established through the Fusion system, provide accurate rations distributed to the cattle in the batch box, and work in a team setting with fellow feedlot staff to support overall cattle feeding operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment properly and safely.
  • Deliver precise rations accurately and efficiently.
  • Report and record all feed audits.
  • Maintain loader maintenance: grease, service, blow out radiator, tires, and keep unit clean.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Mechanical interest and aptitude is beneficial.
  • Understanding of Feed Rations for Cattle
  • Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making.
  • Driven, organized, action-oriented, analytical, and ability to multi-task.
  • Individual must be team oriented.
  • Proven professional communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail.

Tools and Equipment

  • Loader, batch box, computer, and misc. hand tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to see and read fine detailed reports/computer screen
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to drive a feed loader for 8-12 hours throughout a day
  • Must be able to do fine manipulations at times.

Dress and Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Must wear appropriate clothing for all operations to protect against injury; no loose clothing; wear gloves when necessary; and any other safety protection device such as safety eye wear.
