Position Overview
BCDA is looking for a talented individual to join our team. Are you passionate about being an active participant in the future of Boone County? Then we would love to meet you. The position we are looking to fill is tailored around your strengths and our needs with the potential for growth within BCDA.
What we’re looking for:
- Someone willing to learn the ins and out of economic development.
- A self-starter who is comfortable working independently and collaboratively.

- A great communicator.
- The ability to participate in developing new and innovative ideas to help Boone County grow.
A Few Administrative Tasks:
- Handling the daily administrative taks for BCDA and it sub-committees.
- Meeting preparation for monthly board meetings and sub-committee meetings.
- Take meeting minutes for the BCDA board and committees.
- Keep necessary forms, calendars, and office files organized and updated at all times.
- Answering phones while in the office.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- A keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to use basic office equipment and email systems.
Perks & Benefits (for positions over 30 hours/week):
- $18-20/hr commensurate with experience.
- $100 monthly cell phone stipend.
- Health Insurance stipend.
- IRA option with employers match up to 3%.
