Job Summary:
The Part-Time Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing clean and sanitary linens, towels, and other items to meet guest and hotel needs. This position ensures that laundry items are washed, dried, folded, and stored efficiently, while maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, sort, and separate laundry by color and fabric type.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and folding equipment.
- Monitor and control laundry equipment for correct functioning and cleanliness.
- Fold and store clean linens and towels in designated storage areas.
- Keep laundry room clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and inform management when items need to be reordered.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies of Cardinal Inn.
- Assist housekeeping staff with linen or laundry-related requests, if needed.
- Report any issues with laundry equipment to the supervisor.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
- Prior experience in a similar role is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Ability to lift up to 25-30 pounds.
- Basic understanding of laundry processes and machine operation.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Work Schedule:
- Part-time (approximately 15-25 hours per week).
- Shifts may vary based on hotel occupancy and needs.
- Weekdays 8:00 am- 4:00 pm unless laundry is done before 4:00 pm.
- Weekends 9:00 am-4:00 pm unless laundry is done before 4:00 pm.
