The Boone County Sheriff’s office is accepting applications for a Communications Dispatcher/Corrections Officer. Communication Officers are responsible for receiving and dispatching emergency and non-emergency law enforcement, fire and medical calls. It is a multi-tasking position that includes the operation of a computer and communication equipment.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be 19 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, be of good moral character, and be able to pass a thorough background investigation as well as have a valid driver’s license.
- Applicants must be able to communicate effectively in English, speak, read, write and comprehend, and be eligible to work in the United States.
- Applicants must be willing to work all shifts working 40 hours a week including working every other weekend, with some holidays.
