SCHEDULE: Part-Time (24-35 hours per week)
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for collection, processing, and distribution of patient specimens for testing adhering to department identification policies. Perform, evaluate, and report patient specimens using point-of-care instrumentation. Demonstrates behavioral skills that contribute to a productive work environment and provides excellent customer service. Performs Phlebotomy and large variety of nontechnical tasks in the department. Helps organize many clerical functions to facilitate communications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification (ASCP) preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- One to three months related experience and/or training preferred
