The Fairgrounds & Fuller Park Loop is an 8-foot-wide, concrete, accessible recreational trail located near several of Albion’s key recreation amenities, including the County Fairgrounds, City Park, Campgrounds, and Aquatic Center. Designed to provide a safe and convenient outdoor space for walking, running, and biking, the trail adds another valuable resource for residents and visitors to enjoy.
The system features two primary loops offering a variety of distance and difficulty options:
- Fuller Park Loop – A flat, beginner-friendly route measuring 0.3 miles.
- Fairgrounds Loop – A 1.5-mile loop that winds through the Fairgrounds, past the radio towers and water tower, and along the south side of the Fuller Park Loop. This route includes moderate elevation changes, with the steepest section located between the southwest radio tower and the water tower.
- Extended Loop Option – At 1.75 miles, this route incorporates the full perimeter of both loops, including the north side of the Fuller Park Loop.
This project was made possible through collaboration among the Boone County Foundation Fund, City of Albion, Boone County, Boone County Development Agency, Boone County Agricultural Society, and dedicated community members, reflecting the strong local partnership that continues to shape Boone County’s quality of life.
