Boone Central Schools is seeking a hardworking, reliable student to join our custodial and maintenance team for the 2026 summer break.
- May 26 – August 7, 2026
- Monday – Thursday
- Up to 40 hours per week
- $13.50/hour
Working alongside our professional custodial and maintenance staff, this position will play a vital role in refreshing our facilities. Tasks include but are not limited to:
Building Care: Deep cleaning classrooms, scrubbing and waxing floors, washing windows, and moving furniture.
Grounds Maintenance: Mowing, weeding, trimming, and assisting with grounds projects.
General Repairs: Assisting maintenance staff with painting, organizing, and basic facility upkeep.
Heavy Lifting: Loading/unloading supplies and repositioning heavy equipment or furniture.
Job Requirements
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs throughout a 10-hour shift.
- Reliable: Show up on time and ready to work.
- Team Player: Working closely with a crew, so a positive attitude and the ability to follow instructions are must-haves.
- Detail-Oriented: Take pride in seeing a job done right
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to campus safety.
