As a Reliability Engineer you will provide technical support to improve fixed equipment reliability with a heavy focus on Mechanical Integrity Programs to comply with company and OSHA PSM standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to develop and implement solutions to plant issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and standards, company policies, regulatory guidelines, and other work-related documentation.
  • Ability to monitor and maintain budgets/costs on projects.
  • Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods.
  • Knowledge of tank, vessel, and pipe design and inspection codes.
  • Ability to abide by confidentiality requirements when working with sensitive information, results, and communications.
  • Skill in providing thorough, efficient, and effective customer service to individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods within all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes.
  • Ability to cross-train in other department duties to ensure efficient coverage department responsibilities.
  • Ability to work with others to accomplish challenging assignments.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments to ensure completion of tasks within stated time requirements.
  • Ability to work additional hours as required to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of project management and non-destructive testing management preferred.
  • Skills in engineering and CMMS programs (i.e., CAD, SAP, PCMS) preferred.
  • Knowledge of damage mechanisms affecting fixed equipment within ethanol production, oil refining, or similar processes preferred.
  • Knowledge of welding processes preferred.

 

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or higher level degree – Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in the following area(s):
    • Related engineering experience
  • Able and willing to work on-site and in-person, required.

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or higher level degree – Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Project management experience
  • In-field maintenance and operations support experience
  • Experience in ethanol production, chemical processing, food processing, oil refining, or power plant industry
  • Experience with fixed equipment fitness-for-service evaluations

 

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
