Position Overview:
The Physical Therapist plays a vital role in our healthcare team by administering therapeutic treatments utilizing physical agents, biomechanical and neurophysiological principles and assistive devices in relieving pain, restoring maximum functions and preventing disability following disease or injury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs Physical Therapy treatment procedures or delegates procedures to a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant or therapy aide based on initial and on-going client evaluation.
- Prepares and uses necessary equipment.
- Communicates effectively with clients, families, healthcare staff and support services to achieve client goals and meet service expectations.
- Provides services in the home through BCHC Home Health Care as ordered by the physician health care provider.
- Maintains complete and accurate records pertinent to patient treatment and progress to assure proper documentation and to be in regulatory compliance.
- Promotes and ensures patient and staff safety in all aspects of responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
- Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy or higher
- Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist with the State of Nebraska
- Valid driver’s license in the State of Nebraska
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently as needed.
